How Vitamins Work With Natural Enzymes

When we consider improving our health, we usually turn to vitamins. They are the super miracle workers in our bodies, but they don’t work alone. In fact, they could not work at all if it wasn’t for the help of enzymes.

Our bodies work by converting food into energy, but in order to carry out these processes, it needs three distinct elements. These are vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Enzymes are chemicals found in all cells of living organisms, so they exist not only in animals but in plants too. They are catalysts, which engage our bodily functions and processes. An enzyme is an expert at the task it has to perform, whether it’s to break down oxygen or digest and expel energy from a certain kind of foodstuff.

The vital fact about enzymes is that they can’t live in temperatures of over 120 degrees. So when we cook our foods over that temperature (and let’s face it, most of us do) we are killing those enzymes, which are found naturally in our food. These are then no longer an added source of enzymes, and our bodies rely on their own natural enzyme banks in order to process, digest and reap energy from food. Over time, these natural supplies of enzymes will whittle down and soon we won’t have enough to carry out our vital processes.

If you don’t have enough enzymes inside, then your body can’t utilize all of those vitamins and minerals. These three work in synergy to keep your body in top condition. Without one, we can’t have the other.
