Industrial Chemicals are Present In Most Kinds Of Junk Food… Tasty!

We already know that junk food is so highly processed that it’s terrible for your body. Processed food goes through cooking so as to kill off most of it’s natural goodness and natural enzymes, and this means that the body has to compensate by using its own natural enzyme bank and hence, they get completely depleted. When enzymes aren’t strong, it means that digestion can’t happen properly and all sorts of digestive complications can occur. On top of this, any nutrition taken in can’t be absorbed.

But there are further problems associated with eating processed food and junk food. The fact is that these kinds of foods can cause complications later in life after a build up of toxic chemicals within the body. Cancer and diabetes can even be traced back to these toxins. In order to maximize profits, food makers add chemicals that have the same effect of the tobacco industry adding nicotine to tobacco, making junk food quite addictive but also more deadly.

Here’s some things you didn’t know about MSG. This substance was concocted in a laboratory in 1908, and today is present in every item on the KFC menu (except dessert). Post WWII, after learning the axis soldiers had MSG included in their rations, the US military began including it in their food. In 1958, the FDA declared MSG as “generally safe”, without any testing at all. It is so often present in fast food restaurants that even salads can contain it, and it has been linked to obesity, depression, migraines, mental problems, panic attacks, joint pain, blurred vision, ADHD, and diarrhea. In fact, processed food manufacturers love MSG so much they’ve invented numerous aliases to hide the chemical from eagle-eyed consumers.

High fructose corn syrup

Which popular drinks sweetener, present in most soft drinks and even sports drinks, is created using glutaraldehyde, the embalming chemical? That’s HCFS, corn syrup. This sweet tasting ingredient can be found in anything from McDonald’s apple pies and kids vitamins to salad dressings and is often contaminated by mercury when it is prepared in factories. HCFS delivers a lot of calories but doesn’t satisfy hunger because it doesn’t stimulate insulin secretion. So people continue to eat while all that food turns straight to fat. Corn syrup is a major cause of obesity across the globe.
