What we’re up to:
Partying with Wallpaper* Magazine at the Design Awards 2011 held yesterday, 12th January, in London – and do they know how to throw a party! We are so incredibly proud to share the news with all our good readers that we have been given an award this year as part of the ‘Best Steam Team’ – an award focused on home remedies to help ‘give us a lift’. We are over the moon and can’t thank the team at Wallpaper* enough for their support and belief in our brand. Cheers to a brilliant year ahead!
You can find us on Page 65 of the February Wallpaper* Design Awards 2011 Issue and see photos from the party at the following link www.wallpaper.com/gallery

Stay:
In a thatched cottage in Crantock Village, Cornwall. The air is clean, the sea breeze blows away all those stubborn cobwebs and the beaches are wild and beautiful. It’s a fantastic part of the country, brimming with enticing eateries; not least Rick Steins ‘Seafood Restaurant’ in Padstow, which was a very memorable experience for us – possibly the best Bouillabaisse outside Marseille!

Read:
Lost Horizon by James Hilton. It’s a great tale set in the 1930′s, which at that time received enormous public and critical acclaim. It’s a book that is still as great a read as it ever was, telling a captivating tale of a small group who find themselves stranded in the mountains of Tibet, in the strangely wonderful and seemingly utopian land of Shangri-La.
Eat:
With YoungTurks – an initiative based on a group of young London chefs hosting Pop-Up dining events in the capital. Their first venture was held at Art Work Space on Decemeber 19th, which was by all accounts a rip-roaring success. Photos of this first event can be seen at flickr.com/gp/watchlooksee and they also have a blog at youngturksblog.com
Check Out:
The Fairtrade Fortnight from 28 February – 13 March. It’s the Fairtrade Foundation’s annual two-week campaign to build awareness of products and the challenges faced by farmers in the developing world. The Foundation has teamed up with 15 designers including Julie Verhoeven, Richard Nicoll, Marios Schwab, Holly Fulton and Hussein Chalayan for Puma for Fairtrade Collective to create a bespoke range of highly desirable, beautifully made scarves made from Fairtrade certified cotton for fashion e-tailer, ASOS. Check their blog also at fairtrade.org.uk
Look Forward:
To Spring 2011. It’s just the best time of year here, when plants come into bloom, days start getting a little longer and we can start shedding some wooly layers! We are diligently taking our Immunity supplements in preparation for a healthy and positive first few months of this, already great, year!
